Casey has a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She also studied in Florence, Italy at Lorenzo Di Medici. There she studied everything the fine arts had to offer, from drawing to painting with water color, acrylic and oil, glass blowing, ceramics, bronze foundry casting, sculpture, printing, batik, weaving, copper and silver metal jewelry making, mixed media, 2-D and 3-D art, painting on glass, mosaic, calligraphy and much more.
She also enjoys painting on surfaces other than canvas and has painted many murals in offices and homes.
Many years before digital photography became popular, Casey once took a photography class at UCLA. She found a new love with photography after creating her own camera with a shoe box and watching her artwork magically appear on paper in the dark room.
Casey says that many different art pieces are reflected throughout the years on her greeting cards that can be purchased at The Art Center of the Bakersfield Art Association in downtown Bakersfield, where I have been a member for several years.
What I love more than doing the art is sharing the experience with children (and adults) and helping them grow and learn.
I have also shown and sold art locally at World Records, Bottle Shock, Dagney’s, and the old Adobe Krow Archives Building, to name a few. Out of town at What is Art Gallery and in Cambria and at an art gallery in Carmel.
The art displayed was inspired after experiencing the magic of my first concert with Mindi Abair so I created most of these pieces within 2 weeks in 2019 to grace the walls so they could feel a different kind of vibration in the World Records Music Hall.
