Have a special memory you wish you could see again?
Maybe it’s a favorite place, a family adventure, or a beautiful moment—but you never took a photo.
Join Marilyn J. Smith for a fun, creative acrylic painting workshop designed for teens and adults of all skill levels!
Marilyn will demonstrate ways to take a memory from your mind and bring it to life on canvas. Then, everyone will paint the same scene together while learning brush techniques and how to work with acrylic paint.
We’ll be painting tubers floating down the Merced River, based on Marilyn’s painting “Floating Past Half Dome in Yosemite.”
A 12 × 12 canvas is provided, along with the floating medium and palettes.
What to bring:
Your acrylic paints and brushes, water containers, spray water bottle, paper towels, and the remaining supplies listed on the supply list.
Please bring a sack lunch and drinks. There will be a ½-hour lunch break, so there isn’t enough time to go out for lunch.
