 VICKI MEADOWS AT DAGNY’S 

Vicki Meadows is the artist who will be showing her art at Dagny’s Coffee Shop for the months of June and July. 

She is a self-taught artist of acrylic works. 

    Vicki was always drawing and doodling as a child. When she was in high school, her father gave her an easel and some starting paints for Christmas. She played around with them but only painted for her immediate family. 

After some time she put them away and got busy with college, life, love, and family. She continued with her love of art by always sketching and doing projects with her kids, painting nurseries for friends and painting one painting as a gift for my husband. 

After putting her art away for nearly 40 years, life slowed down and the desire to paint called her again. It didn’t take long and she was hooked.

 After painting so many pieces of art, she decided to join the Bakersfield Art Association and hopefully share them with others. That was the right decision. Along with “meeting” many wonderful artists she is learning to branch out and try new techniques. 

Vicki says, “It is a process but worth every minute.”
