Vicki Meadows
Bakersfield Art Association is happy to announce that artist Vicki Meadows will be the featured artist for the months of February and March.
A full display of her works will fill the walls with various subjects in her hyper realistic style.
Her show is "Something Old and Something New".
She had always created crafts and especially drawings. But, six years ago Vicki was turned on to paintings on canvas after someone commissioned her for a job.
Ever since then she has been hanging her art at the Bakersfield Art Association, been exhibiting in some art shows, and even entered some competitions.
Vicki originally started painting landscapes and old architecture but after time decided to tackle painting people and portraits. Vicki said that was a challenge, but a good one.
Always interested in trying something new, Vicki is now venturing into painting hyper-realism. Liking both old and new styles, she only wishes she would have started painting years ago.
The public can meet Vicki at Dagny's coffee shop located at 1600 20 St. on First Friday, February 7 at 6 PM
