BIO

I have always drawn and started painting when I was 14. I am self-taught and have worked in oils, acrylics and watercolors as well as pencil and pen and Ink.

I find that each medium has its challenges and rewards. I taught elementary art for 20 years and probably learned more than the children with the biggest take away being their ability to go with their instincts. Art is about personal expression and one has to be fearless to go down that road.

I became a member of the BAA after retiring from teaching and love the inspiration and creativity of the group. I currently teach classes at the BAA while developing my own art work. I like to find subjects that are unappreciated and showcase them.
