BAA news - Art Gallery Updates - Art Classes
"PORTRAITS AND FIGURE DRAWING"
CHARLOTTE WHITE - INSTRUCTOR
Mondays, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. - Cost: $20.00 per lesson.
There will be a clothed model.
Artists will provide their own supplies .
Suggested supplies:
- notebook, sketching pad,
- variety of pencils, markers, blending stump, archival ink pens, charcoal,
- white eraser, kneaded eraser, drawing brush to sweep away crumbs
- ruler,
- tracing paper, tissues/paper towels,
- folder/ drawing storage container, and pencil sharpener.
There are limited easels available, so you may choose to bring your own easel or you may use a table in the classroom
Experienced artists skilled in drawing or painting portraits or figure drawing may come to class,
sketch the model independently, and not be involved in the instruction.

Tuesdays 1:00 - 3:00: MEDITATIVE PATTERN DRAWING THROUGH ZENTANGLE ART
Learn to unwind and calm a busy mind. Get in a state of mindfulness through simple repetitive steps using a few basic strokes. Cost: $25. Pre-registration is RE-QUIRED for these classes.

Casey Hibbard - ART2 HEAL -
Taking the connection of creativity to another level by using art as a tool for self-expression & self-exploration. Miss Casey will facilitate the creative process while participants are in charge of their own exploration, whether it is through abstract art, sculpture, or journaling. Emotional healing through art & creative expression for those living in pain, grief, fear, or stress. Or simply participate in art to heal because it is relaxing and fun. All ages are welcome to participate every Tuesday from @ THE ART CENTER 1607 19th Street. $40 per class (includes supplies but some projects may require the artist to purchase extra supplies) .
