Marilyn J. Smith

Marilyn J. Smith loves watercolor.  That really says it all. The way pigment and water blend and surge on the paper is amazing. Her joy is painting portraits of people and dogs. Each year for the past few she has been painting selected veterans from the Kern County Honor Flights and then gifting the portraits to the person as a way to honor their service to our country. 

Marilyn is the current President of Bakersfield Art Association. She has presented some watercolor portrait workshops through the BAA. Currently she is teaching a weekly multimedia class, coaching artists with their oil, acrylic, or watercolor paintings.
