She is a graduate of The New York Institute of Photography and shows her work regularly at the Bakersfield Art Association gallery, in local venues and on her website, www.visualtravels.com.
Dagney’s Coffee House will feature photography by MARSHA BLACK during the month of March.
Marsha has a degree in photography from the New York School of Photography. Her show is a compilation of photographs that she has taken through her many years of travel throughout the world.
Marsha Studied as a physical education teacher. But because all PE teachers were required to have secondary degrees in either History or English from which they were expected to teach, Marsha chose history. She now has a Master's degree in history, and a minor degree in French.
She stopped teaching when her son was born. Because there weren't jobs available when she was ready to go back to work, she went back to school and got a Master's degree in Financial Planning and became self employed.
Throughout her career, Marsha was continually active in her photography and was encouraged to become a member of the Bakersfield Art Center when her neighbor saw her work.
