As an artist Toni started late in life. She took art in high school and some lessons at community centers. But, she never thought she would show her art in a setting where it might sell.
Starting in oils she enjoyed painting landscapes and still lives. She changed to acrylics after her stepchildren used a wet painting to make art on the walls. Learning to be quick in the painting techniques has loosened up her approach. It’s easier to cover mistakes and continue painting.
Most of her work is happy and colorful due to her poor vision. Her technique is to use the biggest brush and not to fuss over the details.
