 The Bakersfield Art Association is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. 

We are affiliated with the Arts Council of Kern, Downtown Business Association, the Downtown Bakersfield Art District and we are a member of the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce 

 - To provide an opportunity for study and improvement in art technique 

- To encourage an interest in and an appreciation of art in the community 

- To provide opportunities for exhibition of members work 

 - To recognize the works of other artists 

- To offer scholarships to the community for art education.
