BIO

I have painted in Kern County for 28 years. In 2008 I received the Beautiful Bakersfield Award in the Arts Individual category and I was nominated again in 2018.Most of the time I paint PLEIN AIR (on location). In the summer of 2018, I painted for three weeks in France. The Arts Council of Kern exhibited these paintings last September, my second show there. I am honored to name my two primary collectors: former Mayor of Bakersfield Harvey Hall and Or. Jung of Centennial Medical Group. My work was shown at the mayor's office for many years. And my Iconic Buildings of Bakersfield Collection is currently on display at the Centennial Medical Group. I am an award-winning art educator. I taught at Vista East Continuation High School and Liberty High School for a total of twenty years. I am now in my eighth year of teaching at Valley Oaks Charter School. I also teach in the after school program here at the Bakersfield Arts Center.
